Owner, Linda Whedbee, became interested in web design and development over 10 years ago when she and her partner, Lisbeth, retired from teaching to travel the country in their motor home. They installed a 2-way satellite system on the RV, making it possible to access the internet. After several years of seat-of-her-pants learning and formal coursework on-line, she put together a web design and development business. Her goal was to teach small business people she met along the way about web sites and how creating one might benefit their business. She became known as, "The Wandering Web Weaver."

Changes

After years of working with a variety of small businesses all over the country--from RV park owners to veterinarians to dog trainers--Linda and her partner found themselves land-locked in order to take care of an elderly parent. It did not make sense to continue as The Wandering Web Weaver. In 2008, the business became "BlackSheep Design."

New Name, Same Goals

The name may have changed, but Linda remains dedicated to helping the small business person create their initial brand on the internet.
